I totally agree. publicity is the key. i spent weeks looking for Cyber Wars and trawled through an awful lot of useless info before i found duelboard// pestering Yahoo wont work now, so the people on those forums need to be told that this is the site. power to duelboard!

matlu

Thank you. If you know about some forum with people with interested in this game, feel free to mention it.

WildTigre/Mase and I also play another online game. He did advertise Duelboard there, and I assure that several players actually checked it out :) I think it's a lot easier to advertise in a smaller community where you are more intimate with people. I think the only problem right now is the fact that cyber battles in itself takes some patience to learn, well, most games do. Unfortunately, that intimidates some :\ The only other thing is the lack of players, giving people no one to play against; I know that's exactly what's trying to be helped here :D

Matlu, whats the population size of duelboard now? I know ive seen quite a few people around, seems like more than 100.

What population size is suitable for 'tourneys'? I have heard so much about the old tournaments on games domain, and i would love for them to happen here. :D

I'd love to have more too. Infact, we have already had one tournament which was purely a practice session to see how things would run. Then, for the second tourney we didnt get enough se we extened te dealine 2 weeks and we got like a total of 8-10 players. We decided it wasnt worth it and to postpone them till further notice, but now it seems like we might be able to. (although I'm having my doubts again since only 2 people have registered in the past 4 days.)

Sweet! I just realized something! On msn messenger, you can make your own emoticons. The other day, I tried out an animated gif pic of a spideroid and it works!

This got me thinking. Soon there will be loads of spideroids floating around msn  messenger! Maybe there could be a way to use this for promotion of the game ???

Just a thought

The_Gu3st

lol, but nobody would know what it it and they would just think there are a bunch of spider-freaks running around.

Slayer_Z

I was just thinking that when i was looking for this game i went to www.gamesdomain.com b/c thats wut it used to be but is now owned by yahoo or something. Would you think it to be possible that yahoo could put a link on there website that would advertise this website and let returning players and possible new players know where to play cyber battles? The reason i think it might work is b/c there was a rather large petition going around that was asking yahoo to bring back the old cyber wars.....the they could atleast let ppl know where to find it!
Colt 45 n two zig-zags... baby thats all we need
