Typing Speed

I went on www.typingtest.com recently and took a few tests.

My average was around 75 words per minute with an average accuracy of around 95%.

This website provides four different texts of increasing difficulty.

I took tests on the 3 most difficult ones, so my speed might be a tad higher, and I didn't know that you couldn't correct typos once you had finished a word which resulted in me wasting time bashing the backspace button.

Before you answer the poll, take at least 3 tests using different texts and time lengths. I found out after a 3 minute test that your typing gradually gets worse if you type quickly for a long time.

I took the least difficult test (it contains a lot of big words but I found it easier than the others) and got 80 WPM with 97% accuracy.

You're a pretty fast typer.
But when would you ever need to type text that you see on the screen in front of you? And if you are just typing what you want then you type much faster.

The WPM of this test will be proportional to your normal typing speed, unless you're a touch typist like me

actually i had  88% accuracy

Most I ever typed in a min was done in school, in 9th grade against my computer teacher. I typed 138 words in a minute and she type 106. I will never forget the look on her face.

So today, I had dorritos
and my friend wanted one
so I'm like "go buy a pack"
and he's like "I dont have money"
so I'm like "get a job"
and he's like "your a cheap whore"
and Im like " "
and he's like "sorry"
and I'm like "its okay dude"
and he's like "alright dude, cya later"
and I'm like "ok, have fun with your chem test"
and hes like "I already did it"
and I'm like "was it hard?"
and he's like "no"
so I'm like "okay"
and then he left.
and then my 9th grade teacher was like " "
and I'm like "Im never gonna forget the look on her face"
and then my conscience is like "yes you will"
and I'm like "damn"

12:00 - out drinking
4:20 - get home
4:22 - pass out in bed
8:45 - wake up (dam dogs!)
8:46 - yell at dogs, throw pillow at closest 1, and let them out
8:47 - start playing animal crossing ds, since no ones up yet, and usually im not either
10:15 - remember i let dogs out, and go let them back in
noon - gf calls.  long story short: im single now (its alright, she was a bitch)
noon 30 - put on aqua teen dvd
noon 35 - dad falls, cuting his head
noon 40 - mom stitches back up, good as new
noon 45 - unpause aqua teen
1:30 or so - fall asleap on couch
4:40 - wake up, realizing everyone was nice enough to let me sleep, when works at 5, and its a 10 minute ride there
4:42 - get in shower and shower faster then i ever have
4:46 - get out
4:47 - throw on pants and shirt
4:49 - cram a pop tart in my mouth and get in car
5:00 - get to work
5:05 - realize my ipod, wallet, and cell phone are in my other pants
1:00 - after 8 long, ipod-less hours, finish work (im not even gonna say all things that went wrong at work)
1:45 - my ride gets there
1:55 - get home
1:58 - grab 2 eggs to make some scrambled eggs, since im starving because the pop tart was the only thing i ate all day
2:00 - eddie asks how my day was
2:00:05 - throw egg at eddie
2:01 - get new egg
2:05 - eat, as eddie tells me you (guest) were complaining about your day
2:10 - get on duelboard, since i wanted 2 c how every1 was doin
2:12 - find the topic eddie was talkin about
2:39 - finally posts, after typing up the whole day, and fending off about 200 popups
