  everythings wrong with it.   and it will make it more fun if the original beacon formation is restored.  matlu doesnt have to do this, but its a suggestion which this whole thread is about.

can you somehow describe or draw how do you think it should look like?

In the original cyberwars, if you were not up against a side and there was enough room for all beacons/turrets then the formation was exactly the same as you have it now.

Like so:

However, if you were too close to a side then the formation would change so all beacons/turrets would fit on the screen. As shown here:

Correction: It appears that the normal formation gives you 8 beacons/turrets, while the alternate formation gives you 7... I think that's fair, as it takes a little effort/risk to move into open space.

interesting. By the way, could the beacons/turrets be summoned at places without line-of-sight? In Chaos they could only be summoned if there was line-of-sight to that place. In other case it was summoned at some random adjacent square (which still had to have LOS)
