It is a great idea, but heres a suggestion that would make it perfect, lighten up the mech side of it. All that is clearly visible is the one pixel light gray, thus making the mech body look super skinny.

i agree with blitz u really need to make the mech side silver or something like that  when u do it will look good

Yes, I hope it looks good animated, if not you could always make one with a medium-transitions of the arms, like halfway up. But lets see what it looks like now before you go and change anything. I think it's looking really good.
