We may as well bring the discussion here.
My new line of thought is to call it Duel Battle Wars, and instead of Commanders they could be called Duel Battlers (or Duel Battle Warriors lol).
I sugest the name cyber commando
I think Matlu has already decided on a name. I find it suitable and no real reason to change it.
ya, this topic is already somewhere else
If he has chosen the name "Duel Board" once and for all I would like a confirmation. Otherwise we can still talk about it. Since this was being discussed on other boards I thought we may as well do it here.

I choosed the name Duel Board because the site desperately needed ANY domain name, and there was no other better name, which I would like. If somebody comes with something better, it's no problem at all to change it.
I like DuelBoard.
DB, formerly known as CW
I can see the trading cards, merchandising and syndicated cartoon series already...
Other suggested names include Cyber Battles (My own suggestion. The dot-com is taken, but it was same when cw came out), Chaos War Zone, Chaos Battles, Multiplayer Chaos and Multiplayer Battles.
Duel Board just sounds dull.
Actually I could get to like Duel Board. It's TIME TO DUEL!!! lol.
Or taking a cue from one of fav snes games... Cyber Zone: Endless Duel
Sounds too much like that yugi oh/duel monsters crap.
lets call it cy-ber-oh lol
Cyber Orgy
I am not a big fan of yugioh but I think the show is kind of cool in a cheesy way. Why all the hate? Is using the word Duel at all out of the question for you? lol..
Well I kind of like the Cyber theme. Cyber Lords or something.. I guess maybe Duel doesn't make sense since that would only apply to 1 on 1. I never actually liked 1 on 1 games in CW lol. I went for 6 player games as often as possible.

Why play so many 6 player games if you never win? ::) Lol, just kidding around, I don't know how you play. :P Why don't people like the name duel? I think it suits the game well. Nothing wrong with having many people in a duel. :)
im okay with the duel part. I just dont like the board
Because you gain the most points from them :P I think I've only gotten one 6 player game in here.. I never find people on. :/ But I won it! lol, I think that was the game where I met your impersonator and he doublecrossed Sheep or someone.
How about just 'Duel'
With the website being the Duel-Board, like EQ-Vault.
& according to gamespot that particular name hasn't yet been chosen for a computer game (?!)
aw, man. it's been cyberwars ever since i started playing it in 1999. that duel thing really doesn't work. it actually does remind me of yu-gi-oh. and it is more wars then battles. but io can't change a thing. i really reccommend keeping the GAME name same, but the site DUAL BATTLERS, and get other games to reflect the name of the site. and if you do change the name, and no longer keep the name at all, i will still call it CW, and stillhang around. :)
I'm sure if we could legally keep it called Cyber Wars we would....but it is already a copyrighted name, and also the domain name is already taken.
cyber wars, duel board
these all sound extremely generic
(i guess its tough to avoid on a game without plot and characertization like this tho)
CommanderBattles.com isn't taken, which I find more accurate than "Duel Board". I suggested Cyber Battles because Cyber represents the fact that it is in a virtual world and "Battles" is similar to Wars and might be more correct than CW was. Certainly the "s" at the end is because it isn't just one game that is played.
"Cyberwars.com" was taken in 1996, three years before Andrew released his. Think it's perfectly possible to use the name "Cyber Battles" for the clone name, while the site (likely having many other games after this one is finished) has a different name. The holder of CyberBattles.com is just using it as an ad-search sort of site, so I doubt they would come after us.
Hm. I guess that after finishing this game, I will start working on some other, simplier game (probably checkers). Possibly, in far far future there will be more than two games on this site.
So I guess that I'll just keep "Duel Board" as name of the whole site (equivalent to old gamesdomain), and each game will also have its own name. We can call this cyberwars clone as Cyber Battles, or Battle Wars, or whatever. If you have any other idea post it here, I will probably make a poll later.

Best idea I have heard so far. I don't think duelboard is such a bad name anyways.
about cartoon cyndiccation and cards and such, i could probally make something like that up in my spare time, if i had the graphics from someone. Of course Sheep would be the main character and would be the ultra-rare super-duper card that wins the game automaticly.
