Banning

I got banned for nothing...along with some other innocent people. There are no rules posted for us to go by. We can say lmao and not lmfao...Give us some kind of rules to go by before you just ban us for nothing. You are playing dictator. Banning people for ridiculous stuff. I mean come on...a nic with the word "naked" in it. That is so wrong.

Matlu.. A list of rules would be NICE !!!!   Lately there has been ALOT of banning and there doesn't seem to be any set of rules for what is appropriate.  Banning for using different nics.... I don't know... that allows a person to express themselves, so long as there are no curse words in them, I see no problem with them (a naked nic... well, I've seen MUCH worse in there.)  So long as the nic is not making fun of another person, or has curse words in it... what's the problem?     Anyway, FoSho speaks her mind (which I like) and doesn't bother anyone.   Best of Luck getting unbanned FoSho !!!!

The banning i think is out of control over the petty stuff like Naked nics , flooding the lobby , and so on , there are always gonna be people you cant make happy and always stupid people that got nothing better to do than complain. If you dont like what you see in the lobby go play a game and stay out of it. If you get bagged or think you have cheated no need to go whinning to all in the lobby , just dont play with them no more , i mean come on grow up people. Its not the people with naked nics or the people who talk alot in lobby that cause the problems its the little whinny people who like i said aint ever gonna be happy, if it was me i would ban people for WHINNING and tell them to go to nicjr.com and play games with the other children.

This is a great site and you have done a fantastic job with it as far as im concerned far better than games.com ever was but lately all the whinning and banning is destroying it.

Fosho hope you get unbanned you never cause any problems as far as i can see but i i guess having a naked nic is far more offensive than lets see harryboner

yea a naked nic is a nic with the word naked in it... anyway fosho got banned because she had a nic in the lobby that said nakedfosho...and that is so wrong because there are 2 other people that have been comming in rook from the very beginning with naked nics and we all know who they are...the point is...if you are going to ban one person for doing something you should ban everyone that does it...

Could take me a while to type this with one hand so may be responses before this gets posted.   

Yesterday, in Lobby, Matlu made the comment that all the people with the "naked" nics "need help."  I took exception  to that because April (my gf) had a "naked" nic in, and I told him she didn't need any help.  He said maybe not yet, but she will.  Well, anyone that knows me knows that pissed me off.  All i asked from Matlu was an apology which I haven't got yet.  Making a general statement like that about a group of people you don't know is wrong........would be like me saying all people who wear turbans are terrorists or all Americans are idiots......may be true for some but not all.

In my opinion, and I may get banned for expressing my opinion, Matlu is banning people for the most ridiculous of reasons.  Perhaps a 3 day suspension as warning first would go over alot better.

Why do you need a code of conduct to tell you how to act?   Weren't you taught that when you were growing up (for those who have actually grown up).

We requested a million times to have moderators in games.com, now we have a site with moderators and you are STILL not happy!!!! And a FREE site at that, that is not run by some big company that couldn't care less about the players

I don't know who the moderators are and really don't care. I do hope they picked them carefully and not ones that are power hungry egomantiacs that don't have the ability or skills to try and resolve an issue before kicking someone from the site.

As far as the lanugage goes, I am happy to see it cleaned up and the suggestive nics that are used also.  Why the suggestivce nics anyway, is it to get attention??? Some kind of insecurity issue??? LMFAO, of course this could mean Laughing My "Fat" Ass Off, but we all know that's not what it means and WTF, hummmmmmmm what does that mean???

If the person that sent me the IM to come to this site and post, expecting me to post for them and against the site, they were sadly  mistaken in asking me to post.

I do agree that ALL sexually suggestive nics should be removed from the site and all players who cause problems, attempt to fuel a fire, curse, harass, stalk, spam the lobby, verbally attack other players etc, all should be asked to correct whatever the problem is and if problem is not resolved then they should be banned from the site.

I DO NOT think it is right to ask a moderator to boot a player just because someone is baggin!!!!!!!!!!!!  If someone is baggin just make note not to never play with them again, why do you want to ask someone to use their authority to get rid of a player that is beating you? Face it, there are baggers and there always will be baggers, IT's JUST A GAME FOR HEAVEN"S SAKE!!!!!!!!!!!  But you will have moderators who will do that for their "special friends",  that is why I hope that whoever was in charge of assigning moderators to the site knew what they were doing.

Don't ask me to support your ban or protest against Duelboard. I am not on either side, however, if I had to choose sides it would be the side of Duelboard, as they are the ones who provided me a place to PLAY ROOK at their OWN EXPENSE and I am willing to play according to their rules whether written or not, they are the rules of common sense and courtesty towards others, providing a safe, CLEAN, family friendly place to play Rook. 

If you have been offended by being booted, banned ect from the site, well, think of how many people you may have offended for your behavior and weigh the odds.

Matlu, thank you for giving those who are serious about playing rook a  place to play, the others who want to party and talk dirty or start trouble, there's yahoo chat, set up a chat room and go at it.

I'm pretty sure Matlu is the only Moderator. As he seems reluctant to appoint any more.

well let me put my 2 cents in here about whompyyy saying thanks for the lobby being cleaned up:::::::::::: it amazes me that anyone can say it has been cleaned up when pro keeps coming back with the most awful language you could ever hear. i really dont know what the reason for all the banning but my concern is prorook hasn't been banned.he just keeps coming back.and i do miss some of the ones you did ban,and i would hope that there was a really good reason for the banning, not just someone was telling stuff that was not true. i really hope it wasnt for their nic's.::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: we realy do need some rules. According to my information Doger, that is not true, that moderators have been appointed. But then again what do I know, I'm just a normal player with an UNoffensive nic and a sense of moral values and who was raised by parents who taught me how I should act towards orders, who just wants a place to play Rook.
I'm sure Matlu has a lot more important things to do than to babysit a bunch of immature people who can't vent their feelings in real life.
Personally if it were me I wouldn't put up with the crap, 1 warning and you would be outta here whether you think you were right or not.
Face it, he's paying for it, it's his house and he can invite anyone in or keep anyone out regardless of the reason.

Was ready to post and it told me there was a new message that was posted and I might want to read it before posting, so here is also my response to the message Rookey posted.

I agree with you too Rookey. ProRook should NEVER be allowed on the site under any nic at all. Those of us who know him know that he is the worst of the worst
Here's a partcial list of rules since evidently some people have to have it in writing what is appropriate and what is not.

NO SEXUAL OR INAPPROPRIATE NAMES
NO CURSING OR ANY USE OF FOUL LANGUAGE
NO DISREPECTING OTHER PLAYERS
NO ARGUING, PUSHING, KICKING OR SPITTING
Failure to follow these rules will get you escorted to the door which will be locked until you have learned your lesson and can conduct yourself in a decent manner.

Now there are 4 little rules that cover most any situation that would arise.

Probably more than me. It's just Matlu never appointed any moderators in his other games (Cyber Battles), so I didn't think he would for this.
